Best Blog Reading – 7.26.09
by John R. Sedivy
My favorite blog articles that I read today, Sunday, July 26, 2009:
1. Why Email Marketing is Dead (And How to Bring it Back to Life) by Copyblogger. Think that e-mail marketing is dead and that you should abandon your e-mail marketing campaign? Thing again – Copyblogger provides some compelling reasons as to why you should stick with it and how to breathe new life into your e-mail marketing campaign.
2. By A Nose: Netflix Prize Leaders One-Upped With One Day Remaining by TechCrunch. Continue to follow the latest example of Crowdsourcing via Netflix’s 1 million dollar prize competition to improve their recommendation algorithm. Victory was close, but the competition continues – read more at TechCrunch. For more on Crowdsourcing refer to my article “The Power Of Crowds.”
3. When ‘B’ Means Better by The Christian Science Monitor. Ever heard of a B Corporation? I hadn’t. This article explains what a B Corporation is and outlines the advantages and disadvantages of this business entity.
4. 500 Blog Posts and a Huge Thank You by Web Ink Now. Regular readers of CCBbuzz may recall my past articles referencing Web Ink Now and it’s author David Meerman Scott. David Meerman Scott is an author and public speaker, with four published marketing related books and several free e-books. David and Web Ink Now, just reached a significant milestone – 500 blog articles. Anyone who blogs likely realizes what an accomplishment this is and the hard work required to reach the 500 mark – stop by, check out his site and congratulate him on this accomplishment!
