Looking Forward
by John R. Sedivy
Now that the first six months of the blog are behind us we find ourselves planning for the future. We view the next steps for Cape Cod Branding- to include CCBbuzz as exciting, but there is much to be done. In the short term we plan on releasing an E-book, creating an electronic boutique, and continue work on the Vulnerable Marketing book. I will discuss each in further detail.
E-Book
I have started basic work on this but need to finalize the design. I currently have the concept thought out, an outline of the content, and even begun populating Keynote with a table of contents and material. Really all that remains is to develop the design – although admittedly design can be difficult at times, it is also fun. It is envisioned that the first e-book will be a collection of the first month of content from CCBbuzz – December 2008, all packaged within a premium electronic format. This e-book will be free of charge and available for download on CCBbuzz. It will likely sport a retro design from when we first started on the WordPress server back in December. Might be painful to look at now that we have come so far, but if nothing else it should be a fun throwback to another time!
Cape Cod Branding Marketplace
The Cape Cod Branding Marketplace, or “CCB Marketplace” will be an electronic store, or e-store which will provide a one stop shopping for all things Cape Cod. Since living on Cape Cod, both Amy and I have noticed that although there are many great boutiques with fabulous specialized products and services, many of these products and services are not easy to find via the Internet. We envision providing an integrated resource for those looking to find Cape Cod related information and purchase Cape Cod related products.
Vulnerable Marketing Book
This will be our first book, which we will likely seek to self-publish. I have started preliminary work on this, but will focus further on the details during the next quarter. Refer to my article “Vulnerable Marketing” for a detailed description of the Vulnerable Marketing concept. Refer to my other article, “Vulnerable Marketing Outline” for a detailed outline of the form that the book is expected to take. It is anticipated that we will have completed the first three chapters within the next quarter. Content will be provided online for reader review.
Site Functional Improvements
This is sort of a miscellaneous catch-all category. In addition to the major preceding projects, we hope to continue work with SEO and monetization. In addition, I would like to continue updating the structure and organization of the website by adding more paths through the article archive to allow for increased ease of browsing. See my article “Functional Website Updates” for a description of the recent improvements made to this website.
These projects are in addition to the normal content schedule that we are striving to meet. One article per day, minimum. This is a high workload, but I have found with this site that completion of tasks builds momentum and fuels the successful completion of yet additional tasks.
There are many exciting things to look forward to from Cape Cod Branding to include an e-book, e-store, and book – stay tuned!
