Glad you found Brickfish, and glad you found the viral map so inspiring! Also glad to hear your friend Patty is sharing her artwork via Brickfish; it is a great way to get a lot of exposure to people all over the world. She is a finalist in an art competition on our site; good luck, Patty!

The Brickfish viral map works slightly differently than they way you described it. It maps out all the places a Brickfish member has posted their entry on the internet. For example, looking at Patty’s viral map, she has posted her most recent artwork on Facebook, Live, hi5, as well as a few other social media sites. So, it maps where the links OUT are rather than the links IN. We track viral maps by entry (like Patty’s) and also for an entire campaign.

Thank you for your response as well as clarifying the Brickfish Viral Map concept. We have certainly found the concept inspiring and hope to focus on using a derived concept for strategy concerning not only increasing incoming traffic from various sources but ensuring we increase the probability of receiving the right kind of traffic.

Thank you once again and I will update the article to reflect your comments. I hope Brickfish will receive more exposure as a result of our article as we do believe it is a great concept!
